Membership of WLAQ Inc. is open to women who are jurists, practising professionals, legal academics, legal graduates and students of law. Members seek to further the objects of the association by:
- Networking with other professionals
- Liaising with other peak bodies
- Supporting, mentoring and guiding more junior members
- Lobbying for the rights and interests of women in the profession and generally
WLAQ Inc. hosts events to facilitate professional and social interaction and is proud to administer the Annual Queensland Woman Lawyer, Regional Woman Lawyer and Emergent Woman Lawyer Awards, the Beryl Donkin Trust Prize, and the Una Prentice Graduate Award.
